I fail to see how it is more important to add Hitler’s statue to Tussads then the feelings of all Jews or others who oppose it

I am not really surprised at this. This was waiting to happen. I doubt whether the museum facilitated it. It would give them the excuse that having Hitler’s statue is perhaps not in the best interest of the museum’s security thus silencing the voices arguing for his statue to be there.

Well as to the guards in the museum...at least they would get their money’s worth and actually make those guys work. I mean why else would you have a job like that unless you’re looking for a blow off job where little happens.

The wax figure shouldn’t be there really. The main reason is that having it at the Berlin Tussauds would make it a kind of shrine for the neo-Nazis who would visit it it hoards as a kind of pilgrimage thus making the purpose of having it there a farce.

I completely disagree with Nishant. There is no point in trying to appease a section of the society because it would invariably upset others. Also I would like to cite an example. Nelson Mandela the great South African leader who is revered all across the world was listed as a terrorist once in the USA. He has been removed from the list recently.

Good example. I’m not sure this fully applies but I have one. Once I read a book and the message was anti-censorship. Just think, if a certain group hated this book (pull it) if another hated this one (pull it) and what if everyone east of the US hated the bible (pull it)....now that would lead to everything either being gone or censored and that’s not what we want.

There’s a big difference between what Hitler did and what Mandela did.

Mandela was fighting for his own people but Hitler was a psycho who just wanted to kill every living Jew.

I fail to see as of how opposing Hitler’s glorification is wrong

Had this been in some Museum about history then I don’t think that anyone would have opposed it but Tussads is something related to celebrities, making Hitler look like a celebrity surely is a glorifying act

Who did it? A neo-Nazi fanatic or a Hitler hater? It reminds me of the incident where neo-fascists stole Mussolini’s body from his grave and decamped with it. It was found about two years later and then after some fight was handed over to his family to be buried more respectfully.
