I’m sure we’ve all heard and probably 90% of you have played Starcraft. It is one of those classic games none of us will forget about. Hey, it’s been years since they came out with that Starcraft and I still find myself playing it on a LAN at school after class with around five or six of my friends. It is the foundation of the RTS genre and in my heart and most others, it will still always be that game that we all huddled around on our old ancient computers (haha Gateways) and played for hours upon hours.

But more recently, there have been rumors of Starcraft coming out in the ‘07 but that hope was crushed when GameSpot had an interview with MSNBC, “Blizzard vice president of game design Rob Pardo ruled out any possibility that Starcraft 2 would join the crush of titles coming out this holiday season”. Well, now it’s 2008 and there’s really no word on exactly when Starcraft 2 will come out, but some speculate that it will be in late November and that possibly a “Nex-Generation” MMO is going to be coming out sometime from Blizzard but they have given no real word if it is true or not.

Well from all the fans that I have talked to, they are more then excited for Starcraft 2 to come out. “We’ve been waiting since 2003, and by this time Blizzard usually has a game already out and ready on the shelves. I don’t know about you, but I have high hopes for this game if it’s taking this long.” Agreed, this game is going to be awesome, and I’ll tell you why. :D

I was recently surfing the nets for any new updates on when Starcraft might come out and I ran across an interesting article, from gamereplays.org, called ‘Top 10 Reasons to Play Starcraft 2″. Really, really, long story short the biggest reason to play Starcraft to me would be the ‘Balance and Polishment’. Reason behind this being that a lot of games come out with games that are half-assed and have some major glitches or holes. Sure they go through and mod them and edit them, after the game comes out, but I’m counting on Starcraft 2 being totally complete and awesome. Sure they are going to have patches for the game but what game doesn’t? But I will tell you one thing, Starcraft is going to be huge and I imagine one of the best selling games of the year. I wouldn’t be far off if I put in that it might get some awards. For as long as they have worked on it, (2003-2008) I’m expecting a totally AWESOME game. Anything less, it will break my heart.
