Recently, the Sony’s Chairman Howard Stringer had said this to investors;
Our company’s top management priority is to restore profitability in our television and game businesses
So you are basically saying that the consumer takes backseat to the Sony’s massive limo. Oh sure, we are all for you making money, but to say that is your top priority, well that’s going a bit far. I’d have to say I’m very disappointed in Sony. I would have expected a statement like that from Microsoft, which it seems they are already doing, but not from Sony.
Speaking of money, Sony’s Japanese center profit tripled to a record 369.4 billion yen last fiscal year. Now please tell me you aren’t looking for more money. To be honest I’d much rather you focus on customer support and price cuts than making more money for yourself. I’m sorry Sony, but it seems I’ve lost some respect for you.
