My How-To: Remove Items from Right-Click Menus

If you have ever downloaded a bunch of programs that seem to keep adding onto your right click menu, well I have. So I did some poking around in the registry and found out through hours of trial and error where this information is kept.

1) Click Start
2) Click Run (Type: regedit)
3) Find HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\*\shellex\ContextMenuHandlers
4) Now you can delete what you don’t want. (See Note)

Note: Everything in there is game to edit or delete, but watch what you delete, you might delete some of the stuff you really need. So as a precaution you should export the whole directory so you if you mess something up you can renew it. But you can also just disable the keys, but that might leave it messy, I just deleted that stuff because I never use them and they take up space and look bad.

If you have any questions or you need help, just comment and I’ll get back to you asap. If this helped, post a star.
