If you have ever had a bug that disables your Task Manager so you can’t close out of anything, this is something you ought to try out. I have actually run into a problem with a virus locking me out of my task manager so I got to my other computer to try some tweaking. Hopefully this helps some of you with the same problem.

1) Click Start
2) Click Run (Type: regedit)
3) Find HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\
CurrentVersion\Policies\system
4) Find DisableTaskMgr
5) Right Click
6) Delete
7) Find HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\
CurrentVersion\policies\system
8) Find DisableTaskMgr
9) Right Click
10) Delete

If this still doesn’t work, then boot into safe mode and try the steps again. If then it doesn’t work, and you are having serious problems, then consider reformatting or consulting with me or some tech professionals.
