Microsoft Sued for faulty Xbox 360s
Just as the title says, Microsoft is being sued for selling and concealing faulty Xbox 360’s. They allegedly sold broken, if you will, Xbox 360s, then covered up the stats on how many were actually faulty. Under California’s consumer protection statues, the suit was filed in Sacramento County Superior Court and the suit is looking to force Microsoft to release all profits given to the sale of the Xbox 360 [failures], as well as make MS announce [publicly] and implement a refund program in California.

Given this report and suit, could this mean that all states with similar acts, will jump ship with California and start suing Microsoft for the faulty product they have apparently brought to the assembly line? I believe we will see massive coverage on this suit because it might put into balance the Sony/Microsoft competition and give a slight edge to the competition. I believe, if found true, this will hurt Microsoft in places that are best left untouched and might actually, if we are lucky, make them stride for a better product in the future.

Although given the above, we might actually see Microsoft settle and try to get this out of the news and away from the public. Even though this never works, we will soon see what happens with Microsoft and their reactions to the allegations.

I would recommend buying a PS3. Not only are they more powerful, they have less bugs (in my opinion). They are MUCH more powerful than the xbox 360 and in some cases more money. It was said that the PS3 consumes more energy than an average kitchen in a year (bill wise). As a matter of fact, I wrote an article on it a couple months back. If Sony can get their act together, they can and will have a MUCH better product than Microsoft. With their cell processors they are not only more powerful, but they were so close to a graphical integration system to allow top level graphic cards compatibility it wasn’t even funny. Next time though, I think they will finish their product instead of rushing it off the line just to compete with Xbox.
