Just hours ago, the governor that was attempting to sell Barrack Obama’s senate seat has been impeached by the House. This is just the first step in two steps. First the House conducts their session, which has just been completed at a 114-1 vote. Then the Senate takes over and conducts the actual trial. However, Blagojevich believes he has a better chance with the senate than the House,

“I expect to be impeached by the House... he body’s proceedings are flawed and biased and do not follow the rules of law.”

Even though he has his hopes, they seem quite grim for him. With the House traditionally being the closest body to the people, the Senate might take a look at that and notice what is wanted and then weigh in the facts biased or not.

I will be interested to see how this plays out because here in Illinois, no one is liking the governor. I believe Representative Tim Cross said it best when he said, “You ought to be angry, you ought to be disgusted, you ought to be mad as hell”.
