Come on, honestly, EA has been trying to acquire T2 for months now and they have rejected their offer over, and over and over. They just upped the deadline yesterday so that FTC would have more time to review more information.

Even though this increased deadline comes as bad news, there is at least some good news from this. Recently Ubisoft and Activision have expressed urges for placing bids on Take-Two, which would be much better than EA. Recently the chairman of T2 is lashed back with this statement;

The latest extension of EA’s unsolicited, highly conditional tender offer does not alter the fact that their proposal still significantly undervalues Take-Two, a fact that is reflected in the overwhelming number of stockholders who still have not tendered their shares.

This is the exact reason, no one should buy this company out. It is not in the best interests of the consumers, stock holders, or the company itself. If that isn’t enough for EA to drop their bid, then this just proves the fact that they don’t care what anyone thinks as long as it lines their pockets with cash. Zelnick goes onto saying;

Our Board of Directors remains in unanimous agreement that the proposal is contrary to the best interests of Take-Two stockholders, and the Board continues to recommend that stockholders not tender their shares to EA. The Board remains focused on the strategic process that began formally on April 30 to consider all alternatives to maximize value. We believe that these alternatives, which may include a business combination or remaining independent, will deliver greater value to stockholders than the current EA offer.

EA, accept it, they don’t want you, we don’t want you, and no one agrees with your agenda. Back off Take-Two and focus on your own games and attempt to improve those, because we all know those need improvement.
